Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver

Equipment Operator / Class A CDL Driver Hurt's Wastewater Mgmt is looking for a dependable, experienced Equipment Operator with a Class A CDL to join our installation team. This position is hands-on and field-based. The right person will operate heavy equipment, haul equipment locally, assist with septic system installations, and take a leadership role with the crew. About Hurt's Wastewater Mgmt Hurt's Wastewater Mgmt is a licensed wastewater company specializing in the installation, maintenance, and service of aerobic septic systems. We have been serving Texas customers for decades and take pride in doing septic work all day, every day. Our work is important because wastewater systems must be installed correctly, safely, and in compliance with local and state regulations. Job Responsibilities The Equipment Operator / Class A CDL Driver will be responsible for: Operating heavy equipment for septic system installations Operating Pump Truck- N endorsement (Tank Vehicle) Hauling equipment and materials within the local area Driving trucks and trailers requiring a Class A CDL Loading, securing, and transporting equipment safely Assisting with installation of aerobic septic systems Excavating, grading, trenching, and backfilling as needed Helping organize job sites, tools, equipment, and materials Leading or assisting in leading the installation crew Communicating with supervisors and team members throughout the day Following company safety policies and jobsite procedures Maintaining a clean and professional company vehicle and equipment Representing Hurt's Wastewater Mgmt professionally with customers, builders, inspectors, and coworkers Requirements Applicants must have: Valid Class A CDL Clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Experience operating heavy equipment Ability to safely haul equipment locally Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work outdoors in Texas weather Ability to follow instructions and complete work safely Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members Willingness to take responsibility and help lead the crew The following experience is a plus: Septic system installation experience Excavation or utility installation experience Crew leadership or foreman experience Experience hauling heavy equipment Experience operating excavators, skid steers, backhoes, loaders, or similar equipment Important Note About Leadership Crew leadership experience is preferred, but this position will be expected to perform leadership duties as part of the job. The person hired must be willing and able to help guide the crew, keep the job moving, and make sure work is completed safely and correctly.
