Job Description

The Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic is responsible for preventing and correcting equipment malfunctions across a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. This role includes diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs, and following all safety procedures. Strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Duties & Responsibilities Service and oversee repairs for all types of equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. Perform light-, medium-, and heavy-duty repairs. Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce unnecessary repairs and downtime. Perform equipment safety inspections. Maintain a safe work environment. Communicate equipment issues effectively with supervisors. Comply with all company, government, and equipment-related safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Work mandatory overtime as needed. Qualifications Two or more years of experience as a heavy-duty truck mechanic working with diesel equipment, or equivalent experience. Trade school or technical training preferred. Must have your own tools. Class 7 State Inspection certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain it. Ability to communicate equipment issues clearly and understand job assignments. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems.
