Job Description
Position Overview Siri Contracting is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Heavy Haul Equipment Transport Driver to support excavation and construction operations throughout the Wasatch Front. This position is responsible for transporting heavy construction equipment, oversized loads, and support machinery to and from jobsites while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. •We have a brand new 2027 KW T880 for this position•The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically aware, organized, and comfortable operating in fast-paced construction environments with changing schedules and weather conditions. Responsibilities Safely transport heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, compactors, and attachments Operate lowboy, detachable gooseneck (RGN), and other heavy haul trailers Load, unload, secure equipment according to DOT and company standards Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers Coordinate with dispatch, project managers, and field crews regarding schedules and equipment needs Maintain accurate driver logs, permits, inspection reports, and fuel records Assist with minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and field support as needed Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations Navigate safely through urban, residential, and active construction environments across Utah's Wasatch Front Represent the company professionally with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and the public Qualifications Valid Class A CDL required Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT drug screening Experience hauling oversized and heavy construction equipment preferred Knowledge of load securement regulations and heavy haul permitting Ability to operate heavy equipment for loading/unloading preferred Strong understanding of truck and trailer systems Ability to work extended hours, overtime, and occasional weekends when needed Strong communication and teamwork skills Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented Preferred Experience Excavation or civil construction industry background Experience with multi-axle trailers and oversized loads Familiarity with Utah DOT regulations and Wasatch Front routes Basic mechanical or maintenance experience Physical Requirements Ability to climb, lift, bend, and secure heavy chains/straps Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to sit and drive for extended periods Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Company-supported safety training Health and retirement benefits (if applicable) Stable, year-round work with a growing excavation company
