Locums About the Facility This Catholic, not-for-profit, acute care community teaching hospital has served the region since 1909 as part of a major health system. The 347-bed facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center offering award-winning cardiac and stroke care with the region's only pediatric emergency care unit. The hospital provides comprehensive surgical services and was the first to introduce the daVinci Robotic Surgery System, with satellites extending throughout the surrounding communities. About the Facility Location Northwest Georgia offers diverse outdoor recreation opportunities including hiking trails, parks, and scenic railway experiences throughout the region. The area features water activities and recreational opportunities available for visitors. Regional attractions and local dining establishments provide additional options for day trips and weekend getaways throughout the area. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care managing 15-16 patients per day in outpatient clinic settings Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and coordinating ongoing care with support staff. Clinicians will provide 1:3 call coverage including evening calls and weekend coverage from Friday 4:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM. Board certification in Medical Oncology and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment.
