About the role We are currently seeking Casual Disability Support Workers to work with our young woman who is 19. Our client is paralysed and ventilator dependent. The role requires you to assist our client with all ADL's as well as clinical support of the Ventilator, Tracheostomy and PEG. Full training is provided for this role for the right candidate, but background experience is highly desirable. This role involves both personal and emotional support so if you have a positive mind set, are intuitive and client focused, this role is for you. Please note until you have received training, you will only be rostered for 1600-1900 ADL shifts until full training and buddy shifts are completed. Generally, if you already have experience in the industry, you will be placed into buddy shifts for 8hr shifts quickly after 3 or 4 1600-1900 ADL shifts. Your key responsibilities Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities: Tracheostomy care Ventilator care Suctioning Enteral feeding and management (Flocare Infinity) Manual handling Medication Domestic assistance Companionship Community access assistance About you To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience: Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years) Manual handling experience (essential) PEG management Personal care experience Current First aid and
CPR NDIS
