2026-2027 Responsibilities The Culinary Arts Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction that introduces students to the fundamentals of food preparation, kitchen safety, sanitation, nutrition, culinary techniques, and hospitality-related career pathways.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Creating lesson plans aligned with state and district curriculum standards Teaching culinary skills in both classroom and lab/kitchen settings Promoting food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen procedures Managing classroom and kitchen lab activities Supporting students in developing employability and career-readiness skills Maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment Collaborating with school staff, administration, and CTE teams as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Culinary Arts, Family and Consumer Sciences, Career & Technical Education, or a related field Active South Carolina teaching certification in Culinary Arts, Family and Consumer Sciences, CTE, or a related endorsement area Culinary industry experience preferred Prior teaching or student instructional experience preferred Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation:
