High School Dean of Students/Assistant Principal 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 11064 E State Road 54, Bloomfield, IN 47424 Full-time Eastern Greene Schools 3 reviews Full-time Eastern Greene Schools is seeking a motivated, student-centered leader to serve as either a Dean of Students (unlicensed administrator) or Assistant Principal (licensed administrator) for the 2026-2027 school year. We encourage both licensed and unlicensed candidates to apply. This position plays a key role in supporting daily school operations, student discipline, attendance, behavior intervention systems, state testing coordinator, and student success initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong relationship-building skills, professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting students, staff, and families in a positive and collaborative manner. Qualifications Valid Indiana Administrator's license preferred Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience preferred Experience working with diverse populations and at-risk students Experience with student supervision and discipline Strong leadership, communication, writing, and technology skills Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethic Ability to build positive and lasting relationships with students, staff, and community members Job Goals Support a safe, structured, and positive school environment Promote student success through proactive behavior and attendance support Assist with building operations and schoolwide systems Build strong partnerships with staff, students, families, and the community Support instructional and behavioral excellence across the school setting Expectations Support daily managerial and operational tasks assigned by administration Assist with annual teacher evaluations if appropriately licensed Supervise students throughout the school day and at assigned extracurricular activities Investigate and address student discipline concerns in collaboration with administration Provide support and interventions for students at risk of behavioral or attendance concerns Monitor attendance and collaborate with the School Resource Officer and support staff regarding truancy concerns Track student academic progress and assist in dropout prevention efforts Communicate effectively with parents regarding student behavior and consequences Attend special education conferences as needed School Test Coordinator (ILEARN, PSAT, SAT, AP, ASVAB) Support teachers in developing effective classroom management practices Assist with the development and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans Assume responsibilities of the principal when designated Demonstrate reliability and preparedness in meeting daily responsibilities and assigned duties Be available for occasional after-school responsibilities and extracurricular supervision as needed Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, and move throughout the school environment regularly Regular attendance and physical presence required Salary & Benefits Licensed administrators will be offered a two-year, 205-day contract with salary commensurate with education and experience Unlicensed candidates will be compensated based on the teacher master contract with additional compensation for the extended contract days Additional Information If you would rather apply locally, you may drop off your resume and documentation at: Eastern Greene High School 11064 E SR 54 Bloomfield, IN 47424 Or email materials to: ekirkendall@egreene.k12.in.us
