Aug 1, 2026 Job Description Southeast Valley CSD is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to serve as the High School Individual Speech Sponsor. This position provides an opportunity to work with students in developing communication, performance, and critical thinking skills through competitive speech events. Southeast Valley is located in central Iowa and comprises 4 academic centers. The High School is in Gowrie, The middle school (grades 5-8) in Burnside, Dayton houses Preschool to 4th grade as well as a daycare facility. There is another PK-4 elementary a few miles north of Farnhamville. Depending on where you live, you can get to Fort Dodge in 30 minutes or less, Ames is an hour or less, and Des Moines is just over an hour or less. Southeast Valley has a certified enrollment of 1,045 students. Southeast Valley is a proud district known for dedicated staff, engaged families, and a strong sense of community. Our high school emphasizes high expectations, whole-child development, and a welcoming environment where every student belongs. The District is extremely stable financially.
