SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement curricula using HQIM and activities to meet academic standards; Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards; Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices; Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions; Be accountable for student's mastery of academic standards; and Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree Possession of MA teaching license in middle school science, including SEI endorsement Knowledge of current teaching methods & educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles Ability to think critically, problem-solve, backwards plan, analyze & use data and prioritize the needs of the student Teaching experience with a proven track record of producing dramatic achievement gains is ideal Unwavering belief that all students can achieve at high levels and strong commitment to do whatever it takes for all our students to be college-ready Belief in a structured school environment that promotes a positive culture of achievement
