SCHOOL YEAR Position:

High School Social Studies Teacher Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education or a related field. Indiana Educator's License in Secondary (5-12 or 9-12) Social Studies, preferably certified in the areas of History, Government, and/or Economics. Passionate about Social Studies and the value of civic education. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience teaching/student teaching at the high school level preferred.

Duties:

Plan, instruct, and assess curriculum for assigned course subjects (World History, AP World History, United States Government and/or Economics) that are aligned to course standards and objectives. Differentiate lessons and class activities for students of all ability levels and needs. Demonstrate interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with school staff and students. Adhere to all corporation policies for staff including attendance, professionalism, and fulfillment of assigned responsibilities. Ensure approved accommodations are provided to eligible students. Communicate with students and parents regarding progress and grades. Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
