High-Volume Cook Pay:

At least $21/hr total including tips after evaluation. Philly's — A Taste of Philadelphia is hiring high-volume grill cooks for our Groton and Norwich locations. We run a fast line, big volume, and a tight crew. We are looking for cooks who can handle pressure, move with purpose, keep a clean station, and take pride in putting out consistent food. This is not a slow kitchen. We need people who can work fast, communicate clearly, and stay locked in during rushes, catering, and events. Pay New hires begin in a 1-90 day evaluation period . Starting pay is based on proven experience, availability, station skill, and how much training is needed. Most new hires start between $17.50 and $18.50/hr while skills are verified. The $19/hr evaluation rate is reserved for candidates with strong proven high-volume grill experience who we believe can contribute quickly. After evaluation, cooks who prove they can meet Philly's high-volume grill standards earn at least $21/hr total including tips. This rate is for cooks who can handle fast rushes, stay clean under pressure, communicate, and help execute high-volume service, catering, and mobile event work. This is not an automatic starting rate. It is earned through performance.
