JOB SUMMARY
Supervised by the designated ELP administrator, has direct contact with students, grade-level teachers, school staff and parents. In coordination with the ELP Site Leader, ELP administrator or other school staff, supervises groups of students in designated school areas and on school grounds, coordinates and implements enrichment activities, and assists in maintaining clean and safe learning environments for students. The ELP Enrichment Leader supports the equity work of the district through the implementation of the ELP Program that is designed to increase access to educational and enrichment services to students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise students during scheduled time and provide a safe and positive learning environment; Prepare materials and supplies for daily program activities; Monitor groups of students in assigned areas proactively to prevent conflicts or concerns from developing in a timely manner to appropriately prevent harm to the student population. Assist with the coordination and planning of age appropriate academic and enrichment activities; presents and/or reinforces learning concepts; Lead and supervise groups of students in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities including games, art, Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM), performing arts, health & wellness and other related activities; Assist students with homework assignments. Explain questions and enhance understanding of homework as needed; Assist with tracking student attendance with appropriate attendance accounting program; Ensure that school rules are followed and student behavior toward staff and other students is appropriate; Reinforce positive behaviors and communicate inappropriate behaviors to Site Leader; Follow assigned area of supervision of students, as provided by ELP Site Leader, ELP administrator or designee; Monitor restrooms and other facilities to ensure rules of the school are being followed by students using these areas. Treat all students in an fair equitable, impartial, professional and respectful manner; Communication daily with ELP Site Leader about student supervision concerns or safety concerns; Maintain a neat, clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary classroom and play environment by cleaning up after activities, as needed; prepare classrooms and program spaces for custodial staff cleaning. Use available work time to ensure student referrals are made to the ELP Site Leader and that supervision areas are clean and organized for next activity; Monitor assigned supervision areas for safety concerns that should be immediately corrected and reported to appropriate school staff; Administer basic first aid and CPR as necessary.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Organize and distribute nutritious snacks; Attends meetings as assigned to convey and/or gather information required to perform functions. Performs other functions, duties and tasks related to this class as assigned (e.g., District-required training).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; Paid or volunteer experience with school aged students preferably in school setting (e.g., youth engagement, youth development);
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
District pre-employment test or completion of 48 college semester units District post-offer physical examination and drug screening Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice Tuberculin skin test before employment and every four years thereafter or a chest x-ray Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
