Category Laboratory - Histology Job Type Contract Support high-quality patient care by leveraging your expertise in histology within a dynamic laboratory setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in laboratory histology procedures who are ready to contribute precision and attention to detail in specimen preparation, staining, and diagnostic support.
Key Qualifications:
Certification or degree in Histology or a related laboratory science field. Previous experience as a Histologist in a clinical or hospital laboratory environment. Proficiency in specimen handling, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining. Strong knowledge of laboratory safety guidelines and quality control procedures. Ability to maintain accurate records, labeling, and documentation for samples and results. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to patient privacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination. Perform all embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting procedures accurately and efficiently. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and cleanliness. Follow established protocols for specimen identification and tracking. Collaborate closely with pathologists and laboratory team members to ensure timely results. Participate in routine quality control and laboratory safety initiatives. Maintain detailed sample records and accurately input data into laboratory information systems. Support continual process improvements and uphold the highest standards of laboratory practice.
