Hood Cleaner

Job Summary The Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ducts, fans, and filters. This role helps ensure fire safety, code compliance, and proper ventilation for restaurants and other commercial kitchens. Key Responsibilities

• Clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including: o Exhaust hoods o Ductwork o Rooftop exhaust fans o Grease traps and filters
• Remove grease buildup using specialized cleaning tools, pressure washers, and degreasers
• Protect kitchen equipment and surrounding areas before cleaning
• Inspect systems for deficiencies or fire hazards and report findings to supervisors or customers
• Follow safety protocols, including ladder use, confined space procedures, and chemical handling
• Comply with NFPA 96 standards, company policies, and local fire codes
• Complete service reports, photos, and documentation after each job
• Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and work areas
