Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Horse Caretaker to join our team and ensure the well-being and proper management of our equine residents. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with horses, maintaining their health, safety, and environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal husbandry, possess knowledge re: operating equipment, and have experience in farming and agriculture practices. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a thriving, well-maintained facility where animals are cared for with the utmost respect and professionalism. Duties Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, watering, grooming, and monitoring health status Maintain clean and safe stables, paddocks, and surrounding areas to promote animal health and safety Assist with the training, handling, and exercising of horses to ensure their physical well-being Operate farm machinery such as tractors, mowers, and other equipment necessary for pasture management Manage heavy lifting tasks related to feed bags, hay bales, or equipment transport while following proper safety procedures Skills Proven experience in animal care or farm environments Extensive animal husbandry skills with a focus on equine care and handling Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tractors, and other farm machinery safely Basic math skills for inventory management, feed calculations, and record keeping Experience in farming or agriculture settings with a focus on animal husbandry and crop management Excellent animal handling skills with patience and confidence in working with horses of various temperaments Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for demanding tasks Join us as a Horse Caretaker where your passion for animals meets your technical expertise!
