Job Description

Job Summary A Team Lead in the Horticulture department at Plant Solutions is a hands-on leader and subject matter expert who champions plant quality, team success, and exceptional customer service. Guided by integrity, creativity and commitment to quality, this role ensures every account meets Plant Solutions high standards through detailed quality control, effective communication and action-oriented leadership. The Team Lead supports technicians development, drives continuous process improvement, and adapts quickly to changing priorieties while traveling to different client sites. Guided by a passion we all share for plants and their ability to enhance everyday spaces, the Team Lead brings care and consistency to every environment we service.
Duties:
Quality Control:
Conduct thorough quality control checks on work completed by other technicians to ensure plant health, ensure accounts are up to Plant Solution standards. Identify and document any areas of improvement. Turn into service manager.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
Demonstrate flexibility in work hours and scheduling to accommodate unexpected call outs, urgent tasks, or training requirements. Adjust and prioritize workload based on changing circumstances while ensuring quality control standards are not compromised. Team leads will travel extensively across the valley to various client accounts as required and instructed by management.
Training and Development:
Collaborate with service managers and training departments to identify training needs within the team and coordinate training sessions as necessary. Assist in the onboarding process for new technicians, providing guidance on quality control procedures, company standards, and best plant care practices.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate existing quality control processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall team performance. Help management implement new quality control protocols or modify existing ones based on industry trends, feedback, and lessons learned.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other team leads, departments, and managers to share insights, address concerns, and contribute to the improving the service team. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly, working service managers to find effective solutions.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to quality control, plant care and service management. Continuously develop leadership and management skills through training, workshops, and self-directed learning. Experience Minimum of 1-2 years proven experience in interior and exterior plant care, horticulture, strong understanding of plant health and care Previous leadership, team lead, or mentoring experience Ability to guide and train in fast paced environments Strong attention to detail Knowledge of plant species, plant health indicators, pest management, and best practices in different microclimates Experience working with customers, strong customer-focused mindset Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to team Ability to bend, climb ladders, lift up to 50lbs Quick action oriented problem solving skills Join us at Plant Solutions and play a key role in delivering exceptional plant care across the valley.

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
