Pay:
$2050-$2150/wk plus .42 a mile for patient related travel Local and Travel Welcome! 13
Week Contract Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8 AM-5
PM No Call Service Area:
Marion and Mansfield Requirements Must have at least 1 year of Hospice experience within the last 3 years as an
RN. HCHB
charting experience is also required. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, utilizing your expertise in vital signs, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology. Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with hospice protocols and patient preferences, coordinating with physicians, social workers, and other team members. Administer medications and treatments to manage symptoms effectively, including pain control and infectious disease care, ensuring patient comfort at all times. Monitor patient status continuously through diagnostic evaluation and vital signs measurement, adjusting care strategies as needed to optimize quality of life. Educate patients and families on disease progression, discharge planning options, and post-acute care resources to foster informed decision-making. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing documentation related to inpatient and outpatient hospice services. Collaborate with case management teams to facilitate intake processes, discharge planning, and utilization management for seamless patient transitions across care settings. Skills Proven critical care experience with a strong background in hospital medicine or emergency medicine environments. Experience working within Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Skilled in ICU procedures, post-acute care settings, or behavioral health interventions to address complex patient needs. Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices combined with expertise in geriatrics and pediatrics enhances comprehensive patient assessment skills. Familiarity with managed care protocols, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and case management strategies supports effective utilization management. Strong understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance standards, and discharge planning processes ensures accurate documentation and patient confidentiality. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments using physiology knowledge while managing acute care situations confidently.
