Hospital Director of Nursing Services 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 208 Pierson Avenue, Centreville, AL 35042 Full-time Bibb County Hospital & Nursing Home 28 reviews Full-time Bibb Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing Services to provide leadership and operational oversight for the hospital, Urgent Care Clinic, Emergency Department, and Labor & Delivery departments. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and efficient departmental operations while promoting a culture of excellence, compassion, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the hospital, Urgent Care Clinic, ER, and Labor & Delivery departments All supervisory duties for the unit, overseeing registered and licensed practical nurses, nursing aides, medical clerks and support staff. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives Monitor staffing schedules, productivity, and departmental budgets Collaborate with physicians, administration, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance evaluations for departmental staff Promote patient satisfaction and service excellence throughout all departments Oversee infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency preparedness initiatives Maintain accurate reporting and documentation related to clinical operations and nursing services
Qualifications:
Current Alabama RN license required Minimum of 2 years of nursing services management Previous experience overseeing Emergency Services and/or Women's Services preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of hospital regulatory standards and quality improvement processes Membership in professional organizations preferred Experience in the budgeting process and management techniques
