Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities await Registered Nurses skilled in PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) nursing. This contract position offers a dynamic environment in which patient safety, comfort, and high-quality recovery care are the top priorities. Utilize your critical thinking and advanced assessment skills with a dedicated perioperative team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid, unencumbered RN license with eligibility to practice Demonstrated recent experience in PACU or critical care settings Proven ability to monitor and manage post-anesthesia patients Exceptional assessment, intervention, and communication skills Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred) Adaptability with electronic medical records
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor patients post-surgery to assess vital signs and recovery from anesthesia Provide timely interventions in response to changes in patient status Manage pain control and administer necessary medications Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other clinical staff Maintain accurate, thorough clinical documentation Enjoy a supportive work culture where your clinical expertise makes a direct impact on patient outcomes.
