Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital pharmacy team is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to assist during a major EMR conversion project. This assignment offers strong clinical exposure and the opportunity to support a multidisciplinary healthcare team while transitioning from Meditech to EPIC. This role is ideal for pharmacists comfortable working in a fast-paced inpatient environment with strong clinical responsibilities.

Through approximately 8/15/2026 or longer (adjusted based on start date)
Schedule:
Rotating day/evening shifts working 40 hours per week
Weekday Start Times:
6:30 AM or 8:00
AM Rotating Weekends:
7:00 AM - 12:00 PM Competitive weekly pay Project Overview Supporting facility EMR conversion from Meditech to EPIC Must be comfortable working within EPIC workflows and assisting operational continuity during system transition
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and verify physician medication orders Maintain accurate computerized patient medication profiles Compound and dispense medications including: IV admixtures Chemotherapy preparations Parenteral nutrition products Monitor medication therapy for interactions, allergies, contraindications, and dosing accuracy Perform pharmacokinetic dosing per hospital protocol Review culture and sensitivity data for antimicrobial appropriateness Provide clinical consultation and therapeutic recommendations to providers Document clinical interventions and medication-related activities Detect, document, and report adverse drug reactions Maintain medication stock and controlled substance compliance Participate in formulary management and therapeutic substitution protocols Provide drug information and patient education when appropriate Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication use evaluations Assist with staff education, orientation, and training programs Serve as a member of the hospital
Code Response Team Required Qualifications:
Active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy Recent hospital pharmacy experience Required EPIC experience IV compounding and clinical dosing experience Strong understanding of inpatient pharmacy workflow BLS Certification (American Heart Association) ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) Flu vaccine required (no exemptions accepted; required October 1 - April 1) Meditech experience required This position offers valuable experience supporting a hospital during a high-impact technology transition while maintaining strong clinical involvement. or reach out for further inquiry: / 281-848-7419 Compensation for this position ranges from $54.00 to $62.00.
