Practice Hospital Medicine in a Collaborative, Physician-Led Environment Bergen Medical Associates offers an exceptional opportunity for a Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) seeking a rewarding inpatient medicine career within an established and growing physician-led multi-specialty organization. Why Advanced Practice Providers Choose Bergen Medical Associates Physician-led, collegial culture with strong Hospitalist physician support Meaningful clinical autonomy with physician collaboration and escalation support as needed Established and growing multi-specialty organization One primary affiliated hospital with continuity into post-acute care Sustainable inpatient practice environment with moderate community-hospital volumes Strong interdisciplinary support and specialist collaboration Emphasis on quality, care coordination, and value-based care Supportive onboarding and mentorship tailored to experience level Welcoming environment for experienced APPs and strong graduating clinicians with inpatient training Position Highlights Primary weekday rounding schedule (Monday-Friday) Shared rotating weekend and evening call structure, primarily by phone Blend of admissions, daily rounding, follow-up care, and discharge planning Coverage across one primary affiliated hospital and select sub-acute facilities Collaborative physician-APP care model with graduated autonomy based on experience What You Will Do Participate in inpatient admissions, daily rounding, patient management, and discharge planning Evaluate and manage acute and chronic adult medical conditions Coordinate care with specialists and interdisciplinary teams Support efficient care transitions and continuity across inpatient and post-acute settings Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant EMR documentation Partner with Hospitalist physicians to optimize patient outcomes and care coordination Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program Current New Jersey licensure or eligibility to obtain NCCPA certification (PA) or national NP certification required Acute Care Nurse Practitioner training strongly preferred for NP candidates Prior inpatient or Hospital Medicine experience preferred Experienced APPs strongly encouraged to apply Strong graduating APPs with inpatient clinical training and interest in Hospital Medicine welcomed Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications, together with a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, CME support, and professional liability coverage.
