Hospitalist Physician for Mercyhealth System, Freeport, IL $345,000

Mercyhealth System in Freeport, Illinois is currently seeking a Full-Time, Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our experienced Hospitalist team at FHN Memorial Hospital . We are specifically seeking a seasoned hospitalist who is comfortable managing a broad range of inpatient acuity and contributing to program quality and growth initiatives within a community-focused hospital environment.

Opportunity Overview:

Full-Time Position 7 on / 7 off Schedule 12-hour shifts 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Day Shift) Night Shift opportunities available with premium compensation Includes weekends and holidays EMR transitioning to

EPIC E-ICU

support model currently in place, transitioning toward expanded in-house coverage

Departmental Scope:

Hospitalists manage a wide range of inpatient cases including:

• Acute medical admissions
• Chronic disease exacerbations
• Post-surgical medical management
• Care coordination and discharge planning
• Collaboration with primary care and specialty providers Strong system-wide collaboration across Mercyhealths Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin network.

Required Qualifications:

MD/DO Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine training Eligible for Illinois medical licensure ACLS and BLS certification Demonstrated inpatient experience strongly preferred Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Compensation & Benefits:

Day Shift Base Salary:

$345,000

Night Shift:
