Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Hospitality Aide supports residents by assisting with limited personal care, providing reminders about meals and events, and helping create a safe, welcoming, and healthful environment throughout the community. This role encourages resident engagement, promotes mental alertness, and supports resident satisfaction through compassionate daily interactions and practical assistance. The ideal candidate is dependable, kind, service-minded, and enjoys working with older adults in a community-focused setting. Escort residents to and from Life Enrichment programs and mealtimes Provide reminders about events, activities, and meals Encourage residents to eat a proper diet and drink adequate fluids Promote resident mental alertness through positive interaction and engagement Observe and report changes in a resident's physical, mental, or emotional condition to the immediate supervisor Help provide a safe and healthful environment for resident care and satisfaction Perform homemaking duties, including cleaning resident apartments, restrooms, and common areas, making beds, and emptying trash Assist with laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, hanging, and putting items away Support kitchen operations by occasionally preparing breakfast, serving meals to residents, sweeping and mopping neighborhood dining areas, and washing dishes Support and enhance the image of Baptist Village by displaying a kind, positive, and professional attitude in all resident and customer interactionsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience caring for the geriatric population is a plus, but not required Compassionate, patient, and service-oriented attitude Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with residents and team members Ability to recognize and report resident condition changes appropriatelyPHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to meet the position requirements. Must be able to squat, bend, stretch, walk, and turn. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position involves active, hands-on work within a resident community setting and may include resident assistance, housekeeping, dining support, and laundry duties throughout the day.
