Overview Riverchase Country Club is a Heritage Golf Group Property located in Riverchase Alabama that offers something for everyone; a challenging 18-hole golf course, racquet facility with 12 rubico clay soft courts, pool, slide and several pickleball courts. In the heart of the Riverchase neighborhood is Riverchase Country Club. The historic club was founded in 1976 and has hosted President Gerald Ford, Michael Jordan, and Bob Hope. The club has a 6,842-yard golf course with Zoysia greens. Bermuda fairways, 12 tennis courts, and a full-service banquet hall. Summer afternoons by the pool. Happy Hour cocktails on the patio with friends and neighbors. Putting out on the 18th green just as the sun goes down. We take tremendous pride in providing our members with a respite of relaxation and recreation in a picturesque setting. Experience Required 3 years of club golf operations experience preferred. Must have Golf Genius and Jonas experience. Essential Responsibilities The Lead Assistant Golf Professional will work alongside the Director of Golf to manage the overall Golf Operations while continuing to achieve unfound levels of excellence when it comes to the member experience. The Lead Assistant Professional will have an important leadership role in the golf operation as they will oversee and mentor our outside services staff as well as a leading role in tournament operations . In addition to overseeing the tournament operations, the Lead Assistant will assist in managing the day-to-day operations including tee-time reservations, multiple teaching opportunities, and golf shop coverage. The individual that will fill this role must have strong leadership skills along with the desire to be a leader of a service-oriented team driven to deliver an exceptional golf experience. •
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Golf Shop personnel such as the Assistant Golf Professionals, Interns, Outside Services staff. Oversee and mentor a team in tournament operations for all tournament programs at
RCC:
Weekly League nights as well a monthly club tournaments. Assist members with any billing questions or resolution of issues as they relate to Golf Shop operations, such as cart and guest fees. Help manage the Golf Genius tournament software and activities Knowledge of all major golf club manufactures that the Club carries to ensure the staff is properly educated and trained with club fitting programs offered to the membership. Teach golf to all different member segments such as juniors, ladies, seniors and group clinics. Work with Outside Golf Services to ensure all related activities are effectively coordinated between Golf Shop and Outside Golf Services, including effectively communicating and coordinating events, activities and schedules, making recommendations for improvements and implementing enhancements. Work with Grounds Services to ensure all related activities are effectively coordinated between Golf Shop and Grounds Services, including effectively communicating and coordinating events, activities and schedules, making recommendations for improvements and implementing enhancements. Assist with the purchasing, pricing, stocking, display and inventory management of Golf House merchandise, making recommendations and assisting in the implementation of enhancements that meet the needs of the members and guests and increase sales and profitability. Interpret and implement the rules and regulations governing both regular and golf activity at the club. Play golf with the membership. Benefits
