We're looking for a Café Manager who loves hospitality, enjoys working in a family-focused environment, and can create an exceptional experience for parents, athletes, staff, and guests. The Café Manager will oversee all café operations within our busy gymnastics facility. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing staff, maintaining food and beverage quality, and creating a warm, welcoming environment for families who spend hours each week cheering on their athletes. The ideal candidate understands that our café is more than a place to buy coffee and snacks, it's a gathering place for parents, a refueling station for athletes, and an important part of the overall 5280 Gymnastics experience. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Recruit, train, schedule, and lead café team members Guest Experience Create a welcoming atmosphere for families, athletes, and visitors Build relationships with regular customers and members Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly Ensure every interaction reflects the values of 5280 Gymnastics Operations Oversee daily café operations, opening, and closing procedures Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships Maintain food safety and sanitation standards Ensure consistent quality of food and beverages Keep the café clean, organized, and inviting Business Performance Monitor sales, labor, and food costs Analyze reports and identify opportunities for growth Develop promotions and offerings that serve our gymnastics community Collaborate with facility leadership to enhance the overall member experience Foster a positive, service-oriented culture Coach employees to deliver exceptional hospitality Lead by example during busy service periods QualificationsRequired 2+ years of café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality management experience Strong leadership and people-development skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Preferred Experience managing a café in a family, recreational, or community-focused environment Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience with POS systems and reporting tools What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?
