Job Description

Overview This is an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming PGA Associate or Class-A Professional to join the Chippanee Country Club team and learn all aspects of the operation, including instruction, Golf Shop Operations, Junior Clinics, and Tournament Operations. The Assistant Golf Professional position at Chippanee Country Club is a pivotal role within the operation. The golf course is consistently busy, with a full slate of tournaments, leagues, and events running throughout the majority of the season. As a result, the operation demands a high level of daily support for the Head Golf Professional to ensure all aspects of golf operations run efficiently and provide a quality experience for the membership. Experience Required
  • Strong knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf.
  • Strong knowledge of the current Golf Equipment
  • Demonstrated playing ability at a level consistent with PGA Professional standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook).
  • Competent in basic accounting practices and administrative organization.
  • PGA Associate or Class A Member in good standing.
  • Prior private club or resort experience preferred, but not required.
  • Effective team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated leader with an outgoing and personable demeanor.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and club-related software systems. Essential Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Golf Genius, including tournament setup, live scoring, and event management.
  • Proven teaching ability, with experience conducting private lessons and group clinics across multiple skill levels.
  • Playing proficiency that reflects the standards of a premier private club professional.
  • Exceptional member engagement skills, with a polished and service-oriented approach.
  • Effective communication and teamwork, fostering collaboration within the professional staff and other departments.
  • Highly organized and detail-driven, capable of executing multiple operational tasks simultaneously.
  • Technologically adept, with comfort using modern golf and business tools (e.g., Golf Genius, POS systems, Microsoft Office).
  • Genuine passion for the game of golf and a desire for continued growth within the profession.
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to adapt to the dynamic schedule and demands of a seasonal private club. Benefits
