Gymnastics Program Director

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Gymnastics Program Director to lead and inspire our gymnastics community. In this vital role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive gymnastics programs designed to promote skill development, safety, and enjoyment for participants of all ages and skill levels. Responsibilities Design and execute engaging gymnastics curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring progressive skill development. Supervise and mentor coaching staff, providing ongoing training in technique, safety protocols, behavior management, and effective teaching methods. Coordinate class schedules, registration processes, and program promotions to maximize participation and community engagement. Monitor safety procedures rigorously, including equipment inspections, emergency response readiness, and adherence to health regulations. Foster a welcoming environment by working closely with children, parents, and community partners to promote positive experiences in gymnastics activities. Organize special events such as competitions, showcases, or themed classes that enhance participant motivation and community involvement. Maintain detailed records of attendance, progress reports, safety incidents, and staff certifications to ensure compliance with organizational standards. Requirements Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education with a focus on gymnastics or related disciplines such as martial arts (Karate, Judo), swimming or cheerleading. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents in a childcare or educational setting. Strong knowledge of behavior management strategies to foster discipline and positive conduct during activities. Certifications or experience in Lifeguard duties are a plus; familiarity with health club or gym environments is advantageous. Skills in organizing programs that incorporate diverse activities like climbing, basketball, cheerleading, or martial arts to promote well-rounded physical development. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, parents, and community partners while promoting a safe and inclusive atmosphere. Ability to lead by example with enthusiasm for fitness education while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
