Assistant Golf Professional

Overview The Club at Boca Pointe is a Private Golf Country Club with an 18-hole championship golf course, driving range and short game area. We are looking for a Golf Professional that is engaging with a positive attitude that is looking to better themselves with the possibilty of moving up with the Heritage Golf Group. We have an experienced PGA Head Golf Professional that will be able to mentor and help grow the career and future of this individual. During the "Season" (November thru March) the golf operation is very busy with Member Golf Events that require our time and attention. We are looking for someone who will also take intitiative and look for opportunity to showcase their ideas and experiences to help grow excitement with golf events, tournaments, clinics and golf instruction all with the help of the Head Golf Professional. Experience Required We are asking that this candidate be positioned in Level 1 of the PGA Development Program or better and be poised to gain their PGA Class "A" status in a relatively short amount of time. Needs to have a minimum of 2 years experience as an Assistant Golf Professional with some experience in running golf tournaments and an understanding of Golf Genius software and the GHIN system. Experience with teaching the game of golf and running golf clinics. Essential Responsibilities The Assistant Golf Professional will manage the Outside Services Staff to create a World Class experience for our Members and Guests. The AGP will also help manage the Golf Shop and assist the Head Golf Professional with merchandising, inventory, opening and closing the Golf Shop. The AGP will help run the Men's Golf Association and all Club Golf Events, Tournaments and Leagues and will be responsible for developing welcoming and positive relationships with all Golf Members of the club. The AGP will assist the HP with golf clinics and instruction. Benefits This is a Full Time position with Health, Dental and Vision benefits and 401K. PGA dues paid.
