Club Pelican Bay is a premier private club located within one of Southwest Florida's most desirable residential communities. Home to more than 6,500 residents, the Pelican Bay community is nestled along the Gulf and offers over three miles of private beaches. Founded in 1980, Club Pelican Bay features a 50,000-square-foot Clubhouse, Golf Shop and Locker Room facility, and a Wellness Center & Spa. The Club's 27-hole championship golf facility consists of three par-36 nine-hole courses—Club, Pelican, and Bay. Originally designed by Arthur Hills and beautifully renovated by Ron Forse in 2019, the golf experience is complemented by a culture that prioritizes excellence, service, and innovation.

Experience Required Current class A member of the PGA, required. Bachelor's degree in business or related field, preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in private club, required. Experienced in written and oral business communications Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations Essential Responsibilities Golf Operations Management Oversee the tee time system Track and verify all players and guests, green fees, golf cars, club care, lockers, handicap fees, and other charges necessary, and facilitate accurate accounting and recordkeeping Oversee golf car fleet while ensuring proper maintenance and recordkeeping Develop and manage an innovative tournament program, group outings, and leagues that service all customer segments Oversee the operations of a well-managed practice facility Provide professional club repair and club fitting services Ensure the proper storage, safety, and cleaning of golf equipment Play golf with a variety of members and/or guests as time permits Administer the Rules of Golf and educate staff. Promote and provide Rules of Golf clinics to the membership Assist the Director of Instruction in creating player development programs Develop, maintain, update, and utilize member database Utilize PGA of America player development tools, resources, and materials Retail Management Oversee retail merchandise with a focus on all hard goods Assist with physical inventories ensuring accurate and timely inventory counts Assist in the development of necessary systems utilizing POS to safeguard inventories and cash Establish accurate recordkeeping policies and procedures Maintain attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop Golf Administration Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and supervise all golf department staff and maintain accurate payroll records Ensure evaluations and annual reviews are completed and recorded for all applicable staff Attend staff meetings as scheduled by management and schedule staff meetings with golf operations personnel Update and maintain golf shop policies and procedures and job descriptions and ensure they are adhered to and posted in the proper areas Maintain safety standards and safety equipment within OSHA requirements Assist in the publications of newsletters, informational, and promotional materials Oversee the administration of the golf handicap program Work closely with and provide guidance and consultation with all golf committees Attend applicable committee meetings and board, management, and staff meetings when requested
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Work closely with all department heads to achieve the goals and objectives of the facility Maintain a close working relationship with the Golf Course Superintendent and provide advice on course playability and tournament set up Coordinate plans with the Food and Beverage Manager for food and beverage needs for all golf functions Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community Benefits Retain 100% of lessons and clinic earnings.
