Job Description

Overview Country Club of Ocala is a Private Club located in Ocala, Florida. With a strong and active membership of 375 golf members and a high volume of annual rounds, this is an exceptional opportunity to learn all facets of the golf business while working toward earning your PGA Membership. Assist with the coordination and execution of daily member golf groups, tournaments, clinics and other club events at the Country Club of Ocala. Works closely with the Head Golf professional to deliver exceptional golf programming and tournament operations. Experience Required Knowledge of the history of the game, golf etiquette, handicapping, rules of golf, tournament operations and instruction is essential for this position. Knowledge of tournament preparation and procedures along with the experience of using Golf Genius is preferred. Excellent communication and time management skills are required. Ability to support golf shop operations, including merchandising, and retail sales assistance. Essential Responsibilities Responsible for opening and closing the golf shop. Must possess strong, interpersonal skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment. Maintain a positive, professional and service oriented attitude at all times. Assist in the setup organization and execution of Club tournaments and golf events for the membership. Manage staff responsibilities, including updating daily checklist and scheduling outside operation staff.
