Job Description
Overview Located in the heart of Pensacola, Marcus Pointe Golf Club is one of the Gulf Coast's premier semi-private golf facilities, known for its championship-caliber course conditions, welcoming membership culture, and commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience. The club features a full-service golf operation, practice facilities, tournament and outing programming, food and beverage service, and a growing player development atmosphere. Marcus Pointe prides itself on professionalism, hospitality, and fostering a team-oriented environment where staff members are encouraged to grow within the golf industry while contributing to a first-class experience for members and guests alike. Experience Required PGA Associate or higher Exceptional Member/Guest Services Proficient in Golf Genius, Microsoft and Club Management Software Instruction of all levels of players Playing ability Essential Responsibilities The Assistant Professional's duties are expected to be, but not limited, to the following: Display a hands-on attitude and willingness to learn all golf and retail operations. Positively enhance the "laid-back" culture of the club to elevate member/guest experiences. Work alongside a driven and diverse team focused on mentorship, career progression, and serving the membership. Assist in the preparation and running of all tournaments. Display a passion for teaching and coaching and a willingness to grow in the areas of private instruction and club fitting. Play golf weekly with membership and travel for Pro Member events. Assist in managing the daily operations of the golf shop including check-ins, selling merchandise, and elevating the players experience. Assist in the management of our inside and outside service team. Play a team role in running Club events and weekly member play days. Assist in the development and management of Player Development Programs, such as Ladies & Juniors group programs, Junior Golf Camps, and player development clinics.
