Overview Chartered In 1956, Cherokee Town And Country Club Is Recognized As a Premier Private Club The Club has two locations: the Town Club, which occupies the famed Grant estate on West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead, and the Country Club, which is located near the Chattahoochee River in Sandy Springs. Cherokee Town and Country Club is ranked #7 by the Platinum Clubs of America. Our mission is to provide our membership with superior social and recreational experiences through the finest staff, presenting the best possible services, amenities, facilities, and activities consistent with prudent fiscal management. Cherokee Town and Country Club will maintain a select and limited membership of compatible individuals. Experience Required Education and Experience required:
- PGA Member or apprentice in good standing.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the golf swing.
- Some teaching experience with junior golf programs.
- Working knowledge of technology systems such as Launch Monitors, Putting Labs, etc.
- Physical skills to work extensive outside shifts.
Essential Responsibilities Job Summary:
As an Assistant Golf Professional, you will support all golf operations and deliver an exceptional member and guest experience consistent with the Cherokee Standard. This role combines golf instruction, tournament operations, merchandising, and daily golf shop duties while fostering strong relationships with members.Essential Functions of the job:
- Assist with the supervision of all aspects of the golf operation.
- Participate in the coordination and management of golf programs for the membership.
- Support and communicate with the Director of Golf and the Head Golf Professional, keeping them well informed and up to date on all aspects of the program.
- Conduct both group and individual instruction.
- Provide coaching and lessons to members and their guests.
- Coordinate events and programs involving golf to promote growth and interest.
Skills and Aptitude required:
- Excellent verbal communication skills and comfortability with teaching others.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with all age groups of juniors and adults.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
