Golf Professional Tuscola, IL From $20 an hour - Part-time, Seasonal, Full-time From $20 an hour - Part-time, Seasonal, Full-time Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Professional, where your passion for golf and dedication to excellence will inspire players of all skill levels. In this energetic role, you'll lead golf lessons, organize tournaments, and provide exceptional customer service to enhance the overall experience at our premier golf facility. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment that encourages growth, enjoyment, and sportsmanship among members and guests alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career in a vibrant, sports-focused setting. Duties Deliver engaging golf instruction tailored to players' skill levels, from beginners to advanced enthusiasts Provide clinics on golf course etiquette, safety, course rules and responsability Organize and oversee golf tournaments, clinics, and special events to promote active participation Provide expert advice on golf techniques, equipment, and course strategies to improve player performance Maintain a safe and enjoyable environment by enforcing course rules and promoting proper etiquette Assist with the operation of the pro shop, including sales of equipment and apparel Offer guidance on fitness and conditioning programs related to golf performance, integrating elements of sports coaching and physical education Support the overall management of the golf course by ensuring cleanliness, safety standards, and excellent customer service Requirements Proven experience as a Golf Professional or in a similar role within a sports or recreation setting Strong background in teaching sports such as tennis, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, judo, karate, swimming or martial arts; experience with childcare or working with children is a plus Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster positive learning environments Lifeguard experience or certifications are advantageous for safety oversight during outdoor activities Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of students and clients of all ages Enthusiasm for promoting health and fitness through sports coaching and physical education activities Certification or training in sports coaching or related disciplines preferred Join us in creating memorable experiences for our members while advancing your career as a passionate Golf Professional.
