The Graduate Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach will provide support and assistance to the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches for the Bellarmine University Track & Field and Cross Country programs. The Graduate Assistant receives graduate tuition covering up to 6 hours per semester (excluding summer) and a stipend.Specific duties include:
Assist with the planning and implementation of practices, training sessions, meet preparation, travel, recruiting, equipment management, and other duties as assigned. Coach student-athletes in an assigned event area based on experience and program needs, including distance/cross country, sprints/hurdles, jumps, throws, and/or multi-events. Support the development of student-athletes through technical instruction, event-specific training, and performance analysis. Recruit qualified prospective student-athletes while adhering to NCAA Division I, conference, and University standards. Assist with monitoring the academic progress and overall well-being of student-athletes. Assist with meet management, team operations, and organization of camps and clinics as needed. Ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of people in a manner that positively represents the University, its athletics programs, and personnel. Assist in the organization of social media, recruiting materials, and sports information content. Abide by and comply with NCAA, conference, and University rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Contribute to the overall success of the University's intercollegiate athletics program by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Work is performed in both outdoor and indoor environments and may require travel. Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during competition seasons.
