Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the Dominique Dawes Gymnastics Academy — where every child is empowered through movement. We're looking for a high-energy Recreational Gymnastics Coach for all levels including, Junior, Senior, Advanced, Intermediate, and Competitive, to deliver safe, engaging recreational gymnastics classes for preschool through intermediate-level athletes. In this role, you'll also mentor newer coaches, help execute programming, and step into a leadership role when needed. This is a hands-on, floor-level position in a fast-paced gym where no two days are exactly alike.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Teach weekly recreational gymnastics classes for preschool, beginner, and intermediate athletes Model exemplary coaching and mentor newer staff through onboarding and ongoing feedback Partner with the Program and General Managers on lesson plan refinement and program improvements Lead or support program events and showcases Manage equipment setup, transitions, and class flow to keep the gym running smoothly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment at all times Respond promptly to safety concerns and injuries per gym protocols Attend staff trainings, team meetings, and seasonal evaluations Uphold the academy's values of respect, teamwork, and excellence in every interaction
REQUIREMENTS
Background in gymnastics, cheerleading, dance, or another movement-based discipline Experience working with children in an instructional, athletic, or recreational setting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and equipment movement Ability to demonstrate gymnastics skills and safely spot athletes Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
