Camp Instructor Troon - 3.4 Troy, MI Job Details Part-time 20 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Desktop applications Productivity software POS systems Full Job Description Sanctuary Lake Golf Course, located in Troy, MI , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Camp Instructor ! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Key Responsibilities:
Assists the Golf Professional in the day-to-day operations of junior summer camps Oversees range set-up and equipment; helps maintain general upkeep of the driving range, lesson tee, and storage shed Promotes all club golf activities, including junior golf clinics Instructs and assists in the development of qualified and certified assistants; educates teaching staff throughout the golf season with monthly clinics and/or roundtable sessions Coordinates and teaches clinics on a weekly basis Acts as a liaison between Troon and the club regarding golf school schedules, needs, and equipment Maintains an up-to-date inventory of all teaching aids on property, including video equipment Assists in the creation of lesson plans Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems Manages department members that may include, but are not limited to, Assistant and Associate Golf Professionals and Guest Services Attendants Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate; develops ongoing training programs Monitors business volume forecasts and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses Incorporates safe work practices in job performance Regular and reliable attendance
Minimum Qualifications:
Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (multi-course facilities may require more experience) Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Experience with computerized POS and tee time system
