With good pay, extensive benefits and a family atmosphere, we are looking for a Golf Professional/Tournament Coordinator to help lead the team at the golf course in providing excellent customer service.

Age Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years of age Reports to: Golf Professional, Oaks Golf Course As the Assistant Golf Professional/Tournament Coordinator you will help oversee customer service and administrative work as well as the sale of pro shop items, collection of fees, registration of players, and assigning tee times.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitate processing guests at check in and informing them how to proceed. Organizing the golfers based on tee time order and executing tee time procedures on a timely and organized basis. Answer phones and be able to answer questions, process information and book tee times into the tee time computer program in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain a clean organized work space. Be knowledgeable about Golf Merchandise and be able to sell and answer questions. Clean, Re-stock and maintain and organized golf shop Cash handling, proper, correct and efficient point of sale procedures for guest transactions Inventory control and physical inventory taking on a monthly basis Secure all areas prior to leaving the facility and setting the alarm for the building Maintain awareness of where golfers are on the course so you are able to make educated decisions. Maintain contact with the customer service, starters, rangers and food and beverage staff to ensure staffing levels and guest satisfaction. Class A PGA Member and/or Apprentice is preferred Ability to teach and promote the game of golf effectively to a wide range of abilities. Maintain a proficient golf game in accordance with the PGA of America Learn, interpret and manage the operating statement and budget Communicate, organize and implement golf outings for clients, members and charity organizations. Order merchandise and meet with golf vendors on an annual basis. Schedule associates according to business levels and budget Must be able to work in our customer service area loading and unloading bags, picking the driving range, washing carts etc. Personal Skills Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English Language to effectively communicate with guests and associates. Ability to accurately count and process cash, credit card receipts and room charges. Ability to work a computer and point of sale register Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and implement and make decisions on a regular basis Must possess excellent hospitality and customer service skills, in particular phone etiquette and be able to carry on a conversation while waiting on customers, answering phones and ringing in customers Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care. Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times; sets standards for all associates Golf knowledge is a must, in particular a good understanding of golf terminology. Good verbal communication skills, mathematics and computer skills. Be able to work a flexible schedule which means weekends, holidays, early mornings and evenings. Be able to work alone with little to no supervision and be able to supervisor the other associates on a daily basis, i.e. customer service, rangers, starters, and F & B staff. Physical Requirements Minimum lifting of 30 pounds. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity. Hearing, writing, typing, speaking Ability to stand on feet for several hours at a time and be able to climb stairs Asst.
