Overview Assistant Golf Professional Shirkey Golf Course | Richmond, MO About the Course Shirkey Golf Course is a challenging, championship-style, semi-private 18-hole course located in Richmond, MO, a short distance from Kansas City at Highways 210 and 13. Designed by Chet Mendenhall, a founding member of the GCSAA, in 1969, the course has been recognized by Golf Digest as a top public course in the Kansas City area with a 4 ½ star rating. Our par 71 course features Zoysia fairways and tee boxes with Bent grass greens, with four sets of tees that stretch from 5500 to 7020 yards. We offer a driving range, pro shop, banquet room, and restaurant, and consistently strive to offer golfers of all abilities a great experience. The Opportunity We are seeking an energetic, service-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. This is an ideal entry-level role for an individual looking to plant roots in the golf industry. . Essential Responsibilities
Customer Experience:
Provide top-tier service in the golf shop, assisting with check-ins, policy interpretation, and general player inquiries.
Operations:
Supervise daily golf activities, including the management of part-time seasonal staff and volunteers.
Instruction & Growth:
Assist in the execution of the Junior Golf Program and group clinics. Associates who have completed Level 1 of the
PGA/LPGA
program are eligible to teach individual private lessons.
Tournament Management:
Assist with the organization, development, and implementation of club tournaments, corporate outings, and management of weekly men's and women's leagues.
Merchandising:
Maintain the golf shop's professional appearance through effective merchandising, inventory control, and sales.
Facility Care:
Ensure the driving range and practice facilities meet our high standards for daily play. Qualifications
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of the Rules of Golf and basic business mathematics.
Tech Savvy:
Proficiency with modern office procedures and golf management software.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written "Business English" skills.
Availability:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours during the peak season.
Ambition:
A desire to progress within the PGA Associate program or golf industry career path. Compensation & Benefits
Rate of Pay:
$18-$20 per hour.

Total Earning Potential:
