  • Full-time Essential Responsibilities The Assistant Golf Professional will work closely with the Director of Golf Operations to provide a superior golf experience at Elm Lake Golf Course.
This role will assume all responsibility for the golf operation in the absence of the Director of Golf Operations. The Assistant Golf Professional will lead the golf staff and demonstrate the finest Southern hospitality through the following characteristics: Providing the highest level of customer service, but going beyond customer service to build strong relationships with the members to be able to service and anticipate their needs Passionate about hospitality as it specifically pertains to the business of golf Attention to detail Problem solving and critical thinking Personal drive and devotion to advance their career to the next level Approachable, friendly and open personality Professional level communication and accountability Able to work as a team for the greater good of the membership and all staff In addition to hiring a person with the attributes stated previously, this individual will be responsible for the following areas of the operation: Execute the major member events and outside events which includes but is not limited to leading the staff and handling all financials Assist Director of Golf Operations in the buying, receiving, and displaying of merchandise Manage daily operations such as the tee sheet, weekly men's and ladies' events, starting, marshaling and daily member needs Communicate with other departments to coordinate golf activities Teach all levels with individual lessons and group clinic series Play golf with all demographics of membership Assist in hiring, training, and managing staff Benefits Health Benefits 401k
