Job Description
Overview The Country Club of Oxford is seeking a Head Golf Professional to become part of a team that works cohesively to deliver great experiences to the membership on a daily basis. The Head Golf Professional directs the daily golf related activities of the entire golf operation in accordance with the philosophy, policy, and procedures of The Country Club of Oxford. The Head Golf Professional is responsible for the daily management and operation of the Golf Shop insuring the highest level of service to Members and Guests. Experience Required Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sports Management or related field or equivalent experience Must be a PGA Member in good standing Thorough knowledge of general business administration practices and golf professional practices and procedures. Prior supervisory experience required. Available on weekends, holidays and on occasion extended hours. Working knowledge of Golf Genius Tournament Software Working knowledge in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Must have a Positive Attitude and be a Team Player Essential Responsibilities Create a consistent and high expectation golf experience that assists Members and Guests with their golfing needs, ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs as smoothly and is as enjoyable as possible Foster environment for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements to result in improved working relationships and Member/Guest satisfaction Ensure that all Members and Guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner Direct outside golf operations, ensuring that the outside golf supervisor properly controls Membership and Guest services. Set-up and maintenance of practice facility, course advisors, golf car maintenance, golf bag storage, and golf club repair activities. Hire and train all golf operations employees (final approval from General Manager/Director of Golf maybe required). Conduct and complete annual and semi-annual employee performance reviews. Maintain the daily "pace of play standard." Establish and administer the club tournament program. Assist in the development of promotional materials to communicate the programs to the Members and Guests Head Professional Expectations Professionally communicate information, sell merchandise, and become fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques. Anticipate the needs of Members and Guests and offer appropriate merchandise or alternatives. Answer telephones clearly and concisely, to schedule future starting time reservations and communicate information in a pleasant and professional manner. Special projects or other duties as assigned. Assists members, prospective members, and guests including but not limited to tee time reservations, checking in members and their guests, club information, golf rates, and club policies Maintains a very clean and well displayed golf shop. Assists in selection of men's and women's apparel.

The Head Golf Professional will have their annual membership dues paid in full

Employees will be provided meals while on duty
Uniforms:
The club will provide uniforms to the Head Golf Professional that enables he/she to dress in a professional manner daily
Education/ Allowance:
The club will reimburse the Head Professional for a percentage of continuing education.
Insurance:
The Head Golf Professional is eligible for health insurance provided by the club.
