Overview Here at Walden we emphasize a strong team atmosphere and strive to make your experience working at Walden an enjoyable one. We have a fantastic membership that supports the club and what we do. We also provide a casual atmoshpere here at the club with the expectation of providing 5 star service to our memerbship. Finally, another perk of working here at Walden is the opportunity to work on our golf game and play golf. Here at Walden we do not hold Monday outings, which allows us to participate in Monday section events. We are also highly encouraged to play with the membership and work on our game as time allows. As a member of our Golf Team the candidate is expected to assist the Director of Golf with day to day tasks within the golf operation. In addition, they will be expected to run and manage the golf operation/outside operation when the only staff member present. Must also possess an outgoing personalitiy, great communication skills, and a passion for the game of golf. The candidate should also be able to provide highly efficient and superior customer service, and most importantly, will be expected to represent Walden in a professional manner. Experience Required PGA Member or working towards PGA membership A team oriented and selfless attitude Experience with daily golf shop operations Strong organizational and planning skills Attention to detail Strong leadership skills Ability to work weekends and holidays Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations Proficient in tournament operations/Golf Genius Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher, and Canva Strong understanding of how to run a successful merchandise program, including knowledge of golf manufacturers' offerings in regards to clubs/ shafts/ clothing/ and accesories Strong knowledge in teaching the game of golf to golfers of all skill levels, from juniors to advanced Experience in individual, group, and junior lessons Essential Responsibilities Provide a hospitable environment for our members and their guests, ultimately resulting in a memorable experience Be an ambassador of Walden and the game of golf. This includes teaching and playing with members as time allows Member engagement daily in the golf shop, range, first tee, and golf course Assist the Head Golf Professional and fellow assistants with the execution of tournaments utilizing Golf Genius Tournament Software Manage online tee sheet utilizing Foretees Tee Time Management system Using the Point of Sale system to correctly submit charges on a daily basis Daily communication between outside service staff, green and grounds, and food and beverage staff Communicate golf policies to the membership such as weekend tee time rules, pace of play, dress code, guest play, etc. Opening or Closing responsibilities of the golf shop on a daily basis Manage golf operation in absense of Head Golf Professional Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests Assist with Winter Leagues and Trackman Play during the off season Benefits Staff Agreement with Club Manufacturer Staff Apparel, Clothing Allowance PGA Education Allowance PGA Dues Paid Select tournament entries paid for by the club, if applicable (Pro-Assistants, Assistant Section Championship, Professional Section Championship) Play golf with the members and compete in PGA Chapter and Section events.
