Gun & Archery Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Gun & Archery Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing expert service and maintenance for firearms and archery equipment, ensuring safety, functionality, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various tools, and a passion for outdoor sports and recreation. Duties Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance on firearms and archery equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. Assist customers with firearm assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting issues related to mechanical components. Conduct brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and other mechanical repairs on related equipment or accessories. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, repair, and maintenance tasks. Provide expert guidance on product features, proper usage, and safety protocols to customers both in retail settings and during service appointments. Manage inventory of parts, tools, and accessories required for repairs and maintenance. Support retail sales by demonstrating products, explaining features, and assisting customers in selecting suitable gear. Engage in heavy lifting of equipment or parts safely while adhering to safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficiency and safety standards are met. Collaborate with team members to improve service processes and customer experience. Experience Proven service technician experience with firearms or archery equipment preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance or similar mechanical systems is highly advantageous. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes. Background in retail sales or customer service roles within sporting goods or outdoor recreation industries. Familiarity with retail math for transactions involving sales, discounts, or inventory management. Knowledge of cycling or related maintenance is a plus but not required. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during equipment handling or inventory management. Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers and collaborate with team members. Prior experience in brake repair, suspension work, or general maintenance is desirable but not mandatory.
