20 The University of Rio Grande is seeking motivated individuals to serve as Graduate Assistants (GA) in the Athletics Department for the 2026-27 academic year. Graduate Assistants are provided free tuition, room, and board (or $6,000 in lieu of room and board) and are responsible for assisting the coaching staff to administer and organize all aspects of a collegiate sports program. Rio Grande is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) and competes in the River States Conference (RSC) for most sports.

Men's Principal Duties:
Understand and follow NAIA and conference/league/club rules and regulations Help in the recruitment and retention of student athletes Coach individuals or events as directed by the head coach Assist in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of practices and competitions Drive university or rental vehicles when needed Help in additional duties required by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics
Position Requirements:
Must be admitted into the graduate program and taking a minimum of six (6) credit hours per term Must be in good academic standing Must possess a valid Driver's License Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required Travel will be required for this position to participate in scheduled practices and/or competitions Graduate Assistants may work a maximum of 27.5 hours per week
