Job Description

Overview Come join the Tulsa Golf Team which is managed by Sidorakis Golf LLC. The owner of the management company is Nick Sidorakis, the longtime GM at Southern Hills. Mr. Sidorakis is well known and greatly respected in the golfing community. Working for him and our Director of Golf could be a springboard to the career of a young Golf Professional looking to learn and elevate their career. Mohawk Park Primary Roles & Responsibility The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for assisting the Director of Golf with managing and overseeing all elements of the facility's golf-related activities resulting in a high level of service and exceptional overall golf experience for all guests. Provides top quality individual and group instruction to guests.
These responsibilities include:
Creates an outstanding and memorable golf experience for all patrons. Provides a high level of hospitality and service to our guest and ensures our staff is doing the same. Oversees the day-to-day activities of the staff working in the cart storage area and the driving range and monitors and works the range to provide assistance and ensure range standard are met. Maintains the tee sheet on a daily basis, effectively maximizing groups into threesomes or foursomes. Manages the golf shop merchandising program with the HGP, creating and maintaining attractive, creative and appealing displays in the golf shop and continual updates the presentation on an ongoing basis. Assists the Head Professional with recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of the staff. Monitors and works with the outside golf staff to ensure the golf carts are properly stored, presented, cleaned, detailed, fueled and organized. When a golf cart is damaged, ensure staff completes the cart damage report and let the HGP know. Ensure that the golf shop and outside golf staff is completely trained in their job duties prior to starting on their first day. Continually train and develop their skill level, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance so that the appropriate service levels are maintained and enhanced. Works closely with and consults with the Golf Course Superintendent daily about golf course, practice range conditions, maintenance issues and closing golf courses to schedule weekly maintenance that affect the scheduled tee times for each course and playability of the golf courses. Schedules staff to ensure that golf operations are fully covered to provide the necessary service to the patrons and checking timecards daily to limit overtime and adherence to posted schedules. Oversee POS and the tee time reservation system, maintains and updates the web site on a daily basis ensures that all staff is knowledgeable and properly trained in the use of all the system. Fills in to processes purchases with point of sales (POS) system, accurately processing payments. Provides quality private lessons, golf programming, all clinics and assists the HGP with managing all aspects of the golf program. Provides and interprets golf policies, rules and regulations to the golfers. Provides patrons with club fitting and golf club repair services. Assists in the coordination, bookings and execution of all tournaments, golf outings and special events. Prepares, updates and maintains tee sheets and tournament score boards for tournaments, golf outings and events. Coordinates pairings for golf leagues, tournaments and events, monitors attendance and submits billing. Assists with updates and helps maintain the the Club's website and all golf marketing via email and texts. Creates weekly "e-reminders" for all golfers. Trains and assists starter or marshal in their duties and responsibilities on a daily basis and marshalls in their absence. Maintains an attractive, clean and organized appearance in and around the pro shop, practice facilities and other golf related areas to create a high quality environment. Devotes time to play golf with golfers of all skill levels. Maintains playing ability and works to stay competent in all areas of their game. Represents the club in professional events including local, state, or national events with the approval of the Head Golf Professional. Interprets and enforces the rules and regulations and ensures the staff is familiar with and abides by these Responds to customer questions regarding the general information of facility, if you don't know ask the manager Ensures that all staff are presentable,well groomed and in uniform at all times. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe working environment, with emphasis on promoting employee health and safety. Follows directives and completes assignments with a minimum of supervision. Attends and actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings. Assumes the Head Golf Professional's duties in his absence, closes and/or opens the golf shop and carts storage building for business, ensuring that the golf shop is locked and security system is engaged. Works under the general supervision and direction of Director of Golf. Directs any employment and personnel concerns to the Director of Golf. Always maintains a friendly, hospitable and helpful attitude with all patrons, guests and fellow employees. Any other duties as assigned by management. Experience Required Previous experience in the golf industry preferred Golf knowledge required Benefits Golf and practice preveliges at both Mohawk & Page Belcher. Professional Development:
For the first year of service, we will cover your local and national PGA dues. After the first year, we will provide a professional development allowance to be reviewed and approved by the Director of Golf.
Vacation:
You are entitled up to 40 hours of vacation hours to be taken in calendar year 2025.
Holidays:
There are six paid holidays per year New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
