Young Runners Coach (5-8th grades) 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars Erie, PA 16505 $1,500 a year - Temporary Montessori Regional Charter School 15 reviews $1,500 a year - Temporary Job Summary We're looking for an energetic and encouraging Young Runners Coach to inspire and support middle school students (5-8th grade) in building a love for running and physical activity. This role focuses on creating a fun, inclusive environment while teaching basic running techniques, teamwork, goal-setting, and sportsmanship. The coach will plan and lead practices, promote healthy habits, and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Ideal candidates are positive role models with a passion for youth development and fitness. This position pays a $1500 stipend for the season, August through October. Duties Will conduct team or activity try-outs if determined necessary by Director of Athletics and Student Programs or Building Principal Instruct players in the fundamentals, the rules of the game, proper training techniques and safety procedures Design and supervise all practices and games Promote good human relations within student body, parents, faculty, and community Promote a high academic standard and assist with academic support for student athletes Willingness to take leadership role to promote high ideals of sportsmanship, appropriate student athlete behavior, a healthy lifestyle, and to serve as a positive role model for the student athletes Qualifications Ability and evidence of being able to transition student athletes to the next competitive level Experience in the design of offensive and defensive strategy and working as an assistant or head coach

PA Child Abuse History (Act 151), PA State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34), and FBI Federal Criminal History/fingerprinting (Act 114)
Coaching Education Pay:
$1,500.00 per year
