Job Description
Overview Rolling Green Golf Club is seeking a highly motivated, service-oriented 1st Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. This opportunity is available following a recent team member's transition to a Top 50 club to further their career. The ideal candidate is an organized and enthusiastic professional with a passion for the game, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience. Candidates should also possess a strong desire to grow within the profession, with aspirations of becoming a Head Golf Professional or Director of Golf. Experience Required PGA of America Member or Associate preferred 2-5 years of experience at a private club or high-end daily fee facility Strong communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities Experience with tournament software (Golf Genius preferred) and POS systems Passion for teaching and player development Essential Responsibilities Assist in the daily management of golf operations, including tee sheet management, member services, and outside operations oversight Provide a high level of personalized service to members and guests, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere at all times Support and lead golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and point-of-sale management Assist in planning and executing tournaments, member events, and outings Provide individual and group instruction, including clinics, junior programming, and women's programs Supervise and mentor outside operations staff to ensure efficient and consistent service standards Assist with club repair, club fitting, and special orders Enforce club policies, rules, and pace-of-play standards Serve as a leader within the golf operation and act as Manager on Duty when needed Benefits $65,000-$70,000 base salary Lesson income Year end holiday bonus 5-day work week Full benefits (Health, Dental, 401k) per Club policy Outing bonuses and gratuities Playing and practice privileges PGA education allowance Staff uniforms provided Staff meals while on duty
