Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and professional Teaching Tennis Professional to inspire and develop players of all ages and skill levels. In this role, you will deliver engaging tennis instruction, foster a positive learning environment, and promote the physical, technical, and mental benefits of the sport. This position will support junior development, adult programming, private lessons, clinics, camps, team practices, and community events. The ideal candidate is passionate about coaching, reliable, growth-minded, and committed to creating a welcoming racquets culture for members and players. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your coaching skills within a vibrant sports community while helping players reach their full potential on and off the court. Duties Conduct engaging and professional tennis lessons for individuals and groups across various age ranges and skill levels Teach grips, footwork, stroke fundamentals, rally skills, athletic development, strategy, fitness, and sportsmanship Implement curriculum, drills, progressions, and teaching standards Assist in running junior clinics, camps, seasonal programs, and player development pathways Develop personalized training plans based on player goals, level, and progress Monitor student development, provide constructive feedback, and adjust coaching methods as needed Track junior player progress and communicate updates professionally with parents Assist with adult clinics, live ball sessions, and team practices as needed Provide high-quality private lessons that align with the club's coaching philosophy Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation, teamwork, confidence, and respect Assist in organizing tennis clinics, tournaments, mixers, socials, and community events Help create a welcoming, energetic, and member-friendly racquets culture Ensure all safety protocols are followed during lessons, including proper equipment use and court safety standards Support the overall operation of the sports facility by assisting with warm-ups, court setup, minor equipment maintenance, and related activities Requirements Strong tennis background with proven experience teaching players at various skill levels Passion for coaching, player development, and helping others improve Strong background in sports coaching, physical education, junior development, or related fields Knowledge of child development principles and behavior management techniques Ability to work effectively with children, adults, and students of diverse backgrounds Excellent communication skills with players, parents, members, and staff Professional, reliable, punctual, and member-friendly Growth-minded, coachable, and open to feedback Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics and maintain safety standards during lessons and activities Team-oriented and aligned with the department's vision, curriculum, and coaching standards Passionate about building a strong junior program and supporting adult engagement Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is someone who brings energy, professionalism, and enthusiasm to every lesson.
