The ideal candidate is service-oriented, enthusiastic about the game, and dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for our members and guests. This position supports the Director of Golf in all aspects of daily golf operations, including customer service, course operations, and program execution. The Golf Professional will contribute to a welcoming, positive atmosphere while helping to promote and grow the club's golf programs. A successful candidate will take pride in creating memorable experiences, building strong relationships with players of all skill levels, and upholding the high standards of our club. This position's primary location will be at Smithfield's Country Club; however, candidates must be willing and available to assist at both Smithfield's Country Club and The Club at Brookstone when needed. Flexibility and a team-oriented mindset are essential, as both facilities work together to provide the highest level of service and golf experience for our members and guests.

Duties:

Providing excellent customer service to members and guests, including managing tee times and assisting with course related issues. Assist with the management of the practice facility, cart staging area and other golf-related areas. Assist with merchandising, inventory management and maintaining the pro shop's appearance. Assisting with the planning and organization of tournaments and special events. May also be responsible for tasks like preparing the tee sheets, and acting as a starter or marshal. Maintain knowledge of current trends in golf industry and continuously seek professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

A good understanding on the game of golf, rules and golf facility operations. Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Specific duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Golf Professional may vary depending on the golf course and its operations.
