Job Description
Overview Camden Country Club has an opening for an Assistant Golf Professional. The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for assisting in managing the entire golf operation which includes but is not limited to: Golf Shop Services, Tournament Operations, Practice Facilities, Club Fitting, Golf Cart Operations and general club services. Provide excellent member service to the membership and their guests. Candidate must conduct themself in a professional manner, maintain a professional image at all times and possess a personable style resulting in a sincere and engaged presence with members, guests and staff. Creating memorable experiences for our members and attention to detail are critical to the success of the club. Camden Country Club is the only 18-Hole Donald Ross Golf Course in South Carolina. A private club that is encompassed of 400 members. www.camdencountryclub.com Essential Responsibilities Specific Responsibilities - include but are not limited to:
- Assist with member check-in and fee collection; control and manage play. Minimum of 35 hous per week in the golf shop.
- Assist with all opening and closing procedures.
- Responsible for tournament operations and weekly events including planning, pre-tournament contracts, post- tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up.
- Assist with all men's, women's, mixed/couples, and junior golf events and programs.
- Assist in the management of all golf operations staff to ensure the highest quality of member service is achieved.
- Provide club repair and club fitting services to members.
- Assist in the inventory control of hard goods, soft goods, and special orders including: ordering procedures, receiving procedures, inputting into point of sale, pricing procedures, display, and sales.
