POSITION OVERVIEW
The Part Time Pickleball professional is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and presentation of the Moss Creek Pickleball programs & facilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
Help the Director of Racquet Sports oversee all daily pickleball operations and programming, including clinics, leagues, round robins, mixers, tournaments, socials, and special events. Serve as the primary pickleball professional for the club, while supporting tennis operations as needed. Assist with oversight of the maintenance of the courts' playing surfaces and operating systems; including drying & blowing of courts. Provides pickleball clinics and lessons for all ages, abilities and levels. Maintains pickleball knowledge and playing proficiency to attain
PPR/RSPA
instructor certification. Assists in the pro shop when needed. Assists Director of Racquet Sports in developing new programs and special events. Provides assistance to the Director of Racquet Sports in operating tournaments and social events. Enforce all club rules and regulations governing the use of courts, equipment, and facilities.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to interact positively with supervisor, managers, coworkers, members and quests to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional manner. Ability to seek out new and innovative ways to meet, and respond to, the needs and demands of an ever changing, diverse membership. Ability to treat members, guests, and staff with respect and courtesy.
QUALIFICATIONS
An individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES 3-5
years' experience in the pickleball/tennis teaching field RSPA or PPR Certification required or willingness to obtain DUPR rating of 4.5 or higher preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS A
working knowledge of Club Essential is preferred but not essential.
